TOP VALUE AWARD
Stuart Knox, The Real Review
Medium ruby red into a purple rim. Raspberry, black pepper and beef stock aromas. Medium weighted with bright red and blue fruits built over pepper spice and meaty characters. Acidity brings a vitality to the palate as it flows long. Good value drinking here.
Variety – Shiraz
Region – Gruyere, Yarra Valley
In this part of the Yarra it is possible to make sublime Syrah, which is an excellent example of the variety's potential in the region.
Nose - Game meat, bacon bone notes, white pepper and ripe cherries
Palate - Supple and soft in the palate, light web of tannins, finishes a bit short as a quibble but the wine has a nice, plush, red berry feels, lots of spicy texture feel. Really delicious, come-hither style right in a zone of complexity and drinkability that feels righteous
Food match - You may enjoy it with grilled lamb, beef stew, or meatballs
Vegan
